Chambray (originally Cambrai) is named for the French town where it was originally produced - a technique utilizing a colored warp thread and a solid weft thread in order to create a pleasing, multi-hued appearance. Note how both distinct thread colors can be seen in the hand-knotted fringe - so cool!
