People! I'm not even kidding about how good this was! This is a very old school recipe that I found and thought I might give it a try. It turned out to be a winner - which is really good because I've had a few flops lately (sheesh). This was chocolatey, gooey, warm and was devoured by my family (multiple helpings by all!) It's pretty much like a molten lava cake, but done in 1 pan. It's easy, quick and it looks impressive with very little effort. So, give this a try and let me know if you think it's as good as we did.
Chocolate Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
In a mixing bowl, combine and mix well
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. b. powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. butter (melted)
Spread this mixture into a greased 9x13 pan (or something close to that- I used an oval that was slightly smaller and it worked very well)
In a separate bowl, combine and mix
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. b. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
Sprinkle this over top of the cake batter
Gently pour over the top
1 1/4 c. hot water
Place into a 350 oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is just done.
Remove from oven, let cool for 15 minutes.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!
