If you love a good chocolate chip cookie, you're going to love these! This bar recipe is so easy and adding the red and green M&M's makes it the perfect holiday treat! Eating these out of the oven with a scoop of ice cream is delish, but slicing them into bars works well too. And I have to admit, I've been eating them frozen out of my freezer and that means I'll have to make more, because I seem to have eaten my holiday baking;
Let's get to the recipe. . .
Chocolate M&M Bar
Beat together until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes)
1 c. unsalted butter at room temp
1 c. sugar
1 c. b. sugar (packed)
Add in, 1 at a time
3 lg eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
In a separate bowl, mix together
2 c. flour (spooned into measuring cup)
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. b. powder
1 tsp. salt
Add the flour mixture to the wet in 3 parts, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in
1 cup of M&M's
1/2 c. chocolate chips
Spread into a parchment lined 9x12 baking sheet.
Sprinkle over the top
1/4 c. M&M's
1/4 c. chocolate chips
Bake at 350 for about 35-40 minutes.
