Sometimes you just want a brownie. A classic brownie. A brownie that just tastes like comfort. No crazy flavors or add-ons, just a good old fashioned brownie. This classic brownie recipe is that. It's easy, it's got good texture and just the right amount of chocolate. Have it iced or plain (in our family, it's half and half), have it with ice cream or without - however you have your brownie - it's worth it! But one quick question, are you on team 'brownie with icing' or team 'plain brownie' - just curious:)
Let's get to the recipe. . .
Classic Brownie
Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper.
In a your microwave or a saucepan on med-low heat, melt together (if using the microwave, do short bursts - you don't want to burn the chocolate) 2 sticks unsalted butter (1 cup) 4 ounces semi sweet chocolate - chopped Let cool slightly
Stir in and mix together 2 c. sugar 4 large eggs
Now whisk in 1 1/2 c. flour 1/3 c. cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt.
