Never a Bad Time For Ice Cream
It's never the wrong time to make ice cream! This ice cream is so easy, just a few ingredients and you have rich, creamy ice cream just the way you want it. I wanted to try adding a swirl to my vanilla ice cream with one of the toppings we have in store. Finch & Fennel has been restocked and they have some really delish toppings for ice cream, cheesecake or whatever dessert might need a topping. They have deep dark hot fudge, sea salt caramel, hot butter rum caramel and bourbon & butter caramel sauce - not a bad one in the bunch! I have to say using the sea salt caramel worked out perfectly and I think this option would be delish on a peach or apple crisp.
Home Made Ice Cream
2 c. whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1-2 tsp vanilla
Finch & Fennel Sea Salt Caramel Sauce
Whip 2 c. whipping cream and gently fold in 1 can sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla.
Spoon 1/2 the mixture into a loaf pan
Drizzle caramel sauce
Spoon the rest of the cream mixture into the pan
Drizzle with more caramel sauce.
Using a knife run it thru, swirling as you to to create the ribbons of caramel.
Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or until it has firmed up.
Scoop and . . .
Enjoy!
