Puffed Wheat Cake - A Healthy Version
Here's a great little snack, that's super quick, very much like a traditional puffed wheat cake but not quite as sweet. It's made with healthier ingredients and is super satisfying! Perfect for the long weekend ahead:)
Puffed Wheat Bars - the healthy version
In a large bowl, add in
3 c. puffed wheat cereal
1 c. slivered or sliced almonds
In a medium sized saucepan-medium heat, melt and stir until smooth
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. honey
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1/4 c. almond butter
Pour over the cereal mixture, stirring until all the cereal is coated with the chocolate mixture.
Press into a parchment lined 8x8 pan.
Pop into fridge to let set and then cut into bars.
***warning - 1 pan may not be enough - best to just get it over with and double the recipe;)
