Rice krispie squares are such a favorite, easy to make dessert that everyone loves. I found this recipe that's a bit of different take on the traditional rice krispie square. This one doesn't use any butter, has peanut butter in it for a bit of different flavor and an extra kick of yummy with the addition of Reese's peanut butter cups. The texture is a bit chewier, more like an eatmore bar, bit of a crunch from the rice krispies and the taste is a perfect combo of chocolate and peanut butter - have I convinced you to try these yet?
Let's get baking.....
Rice Krispie Reese Square
In a large sauce pan, melt together until smooth 1 c. sugar 1 c. corn syrup 1 1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
remove from heat Quickly add in and stir 1 pinch of salt 4 1/4 c. rice krispies
Add in and stir well 1/2 c. chocolate chips
*Let cool for about 1 minute and add in, stirring gently so you don't smash the Reese's. 4 chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (I used 5) *this is not a must do step - squares are good without this addition
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and press into the dish.
